Chris Cooper-Hayes is a highly experienced designer, having worked in the creative industries all his life. Chris qualified with a distinction in garden design after becoming besotted with gardening in his twenties. Not long after setting up Cooper-Hayes Garden Design, Chris won an RHS Gold Medal at BBC Gardener's World Live for a WW2 themed garden. He continues to train and develop his knowledge of horticulture and thrives on fresh challenges and experiences. He loves to get to know his clients personally, believing this is the best way to deliver a garden design that truly reflects their needs, tastes and character. Chris has worked on gardens both locally to his home in South Leicestershire, as well as undertaking commissions across the Midlands and beyond. Regardless of the size of a project, Chris approaches each with bags of enthusiasm and energy, and is committed to ensuring his clients are equally as excited and engaged throughout the whole creative process, and are delighted with the end result. As much as possible his designs will be sensitive to the environment, with vibrant planting schemes aimed at encouraging wildlife, and he is especially keen to see young people spending more time outdoors and connecting with nature.
